Developer payouts
Stripe Connect onboarding and when payouts are released.
Developer payouts
Velcio pays developers through Stripe Connect Express after the buyer accepts delivery and payment is captured.
Onboarding
- Open Settings → Developer profile in Velcio.
- Complete Stripe Connect onboarding (identity and payout details).
- Return to Velcio when Stripe marks your account ready.
You must finish onboarding before Velcio can transfer your share of captured project payments.
After Connect is complete, use Open Stripe Express dashboard on your developer profile (or the payouts page) to manage bank details and view deposits in Stripe. Use View payout history on the developer dashboard to see pending and paid amounts across projects and revisions.
When you get paid
After the buyer accepts (or auto-accept applies), your payout is scheduled, not instant. Funds stay on the platform until the hold ends, then transfer to your Connect account.
| Project price (GBP) | Hold after capture |
|---|---|
| Under £100 | 7 days |
| £100 – £499 | 14 days |
| £500 – £1,999 | 30 days |
| £2,000+ | 45 days |
Velcio emails you when a payout is scheduled with the expected release timing.
Revisions
Revision jobs follow the same capture and hold rules once the buyer accepts revision delivery.
Disputes
If a buyer opens a dispute during review, the project becomes disputed and any scheduled or in-flight payout stays frozen until an admin resolves the case. Auto-accept does not run while the dispute is open.
Admin outcomes:
- Developer wins: handoff completes and your payout is scheduled under the usual hold.
- Buyer wins: payment is cancelled or refunded; the project is cancelled and you lose access.
- Closed: the dispute ends and the project returns to
reviewwithout capture yet.
You receive email when a dispute is opened. Buyer-facing detail: Buyer workflow.
